HOLLYWOOD (CNS) – Cheryl Hines received a star on the Hollywood Walk of
Fame today, honoring a career best-remembered for her portrayal of Larry
David’s long-suffering wife on the HBO comedy “Curb Your Enthusiasm.”
Jeremy Sisto, a castmate of Hines on the ABC comedy “Suburgatory,” and
longtime former “Saturday Night Live” cast member Kevin Nealon joined Hines
at the ceremony in front of the Napoleon Perdis Makeup Academy and Concept
Store on Hollywood Boulevard. Larry David was also on hand.
Hines called the honor “surreal,” but said the ceremony was “one of
the best days of my life.”
The ceremony coincided with tonight’s airing of the third episode of the
third season of “Suburgatory,” in which Hines portrays what ABC describes
as flirty hot mom Dallas Royce.
Born in Miami and raised in Tallahassee, Fla., Hines moved to Los
Angeles after graduating from the University of Central Florida. She studied
with the Groundlings Theater Group, which she credits for helping launch her
career.
Hines received two Emmy nominations for her work on “Curb Your
Enthusiasm.”
Her other credits include the films “Waitress,” “The Ugly Truth,”
“RV,” “The Grand,” “Bart Got A Room” and “Cold Turkey” and the
Nickelodeon made-for-television movie “A Fairly Odd Movie: Grow Up, Timmy
Turner!”
Hines also starred in the 2009 ABC comedy “In the Motherhood” and was
a producer of the 2010 NBC documentary series “School Pride.”
