LOS ANGELES (CNS) – Anyone wandering around lost at City Hall or in need
of answers to city service questions or problems now have a friendly guide in
the form of a help desk team set up today by Mayor Eric Garcetti.
“The mayor’s help desk means that there is finally a one-stop service
center in City Hall where people can go for help solving any problem they may
have,” Garcetti said. “Customer service should be the priority here at City
Hall.”
Questions posed the first day revolved around basic directions, such as
how to get to the council chamber, but people can inquire about anything having
to do with city services, said Sally Martinez, who was on duty today at the
third floor help desk guide.

“If people take the bus, taxi or drive through traffic to get to City
Hall, we’re going to help you,” she said.
The help desk is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Duties rotate among
three people, including Martinez, who previously worked in Garcetti’s 13th
District council office and has served in “constituent services” roles for
congressional offices.
