Legendary cool martial arts actor Jim Kelly, who as a last minute replacement starred with Bruce Lee in the iconic “Enter The Dragon,” has died at the age of 67.

According to Deadline.com, Kelly’s ex-wife confirmed the passing in a Facebook post.

Kelly was born in Paris, KY, and attended the University of Louisville where he played football, but left during his freshman year to begin studying Shorin-ryu karate.

An international karate champion with his own school in the Crenshaw district when he was cast in the kung fu classic, Kelly went on to do a string of martial arts themed blaxploitation films, including “Melinda” and “Black Belt Jones.”
