We’re in record territory with the mercury hitting 90 degrees earlier in
Van Nuys, and forecasters say tomorrow may be just as warm. The National
Weather Service has extended its red flag wildfire warning through 3 p-m Friday
for most of Southern California. Forecasters say we should see some relief this
weekend, but temperatures will remain above normal with highs mostly in the
70s.  A record high of 86 degrees was set today at Bob Hope Airport in
Burbank, breaking the old record of 85 set in 1976, according to the National
Weather Service.
