The City of West Hollywood is hosting a Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service activity and joining hundreds of communities across the country in commemorating the 28th anniversary of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day federal holiday.

Volunteers are needed to help with a beautification project at MLK Culver-0003on Saturday, January 18, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Volunteers will perform landscaping, clean-up, and painting tasks that require physical work for a six-hour shift. Advance registration is required for participation; no walk-ins will be permitted to participate.

Volunteers must be at least 12 years old. T-shirts and lunch will be provided to volunteers. Partners of this Day of Service activity include Friends of West Hollywood Elementary (FOWHE) and the Sunset Strip Business Association (SSBA).
