HOLLYWOOD (CNS) – A costumed version of Mr. Peabody will left his paw
prints in the forecourt of TCL Chinese Theatre today, three weeks before the
release of the animated feature film, “Mr. Peabody & Sherman.”
Ty Burrell, who supplied the voice of Mr. Peabody, was
be joined at the
9:30 a.m. ceremony by Max Charles, who supplied the voice of Sherman, and the
current versions of the famed movie dogs Baxter, Beethoven, Lassie, Marley,
Papi/Bruiser, Rin Tin Tin, Shiloh and Toto.
Mr. Peabody was originally seen in the “Peabody’s Improbable History”
segment of the 1959-64 animated series “Rocky and His Friends” which was
retitled in 1961 as “The Bullwinkle Show.”
The segment’s premise was that Mr. Peabody, a beagle who also happens to
be a business titan, inventor, scientist, Nobel laureate, Olympic medalist
and genius, adopts the orphaned Sherman, and they embark on time-traveling
adventures through the WABAC time machine.
