Ringo Starr Peace and Love at 75

HOLLYWOOD (CNS) – Ringo Starr celebrated his 75th birthday with the help
of a few hundred fans in front of the Capitol Records tower in Hollywood
today by holding his annual “Peace & Love” ceremony.
Comedian Richard Lewis, director David Lynch and drummer Matt Sorum were

supporters in person, online and on social media to chant or post “Peace &
Love.”
“This is great that you’re participating in this,” Starr told the
cheering crowd gathered for the midday ceremony on Vine Street. “I’m so glad
you all came out. This is great support. All this support for `Peace and Love.’
How great is that?”
Starr spread news of the event on his website and other social media
platforms, urging people to make a peace sign or post messages online using the
Ringo Starr 75 -vip Peace 23160hashtag #Peaceandlove. He also urged people to gather in groups at noon and
take photos or videos of them making peace signs and  post them online with the
hashtag.
At noon in Hollywood, Starr led the crowd in a countdown, and the crowd
simultaneously shouted “Peace and love.”
Starr has been holding similar ceremonies on his birthday for the past
10 years.
