City Councilman Tom LaBonge is holding a series of bicycle rides through the streets of Los Angeles on Wednesday evenings.
He began the series, dubbed Tour LaBonge, this past Wednesday evening with a ride that started at City Hall.
“There’s no greater place to enjoy the summer outdoors than in the city of Los Angeles,” LaBonge said in a statement announcing the “tour” schedule. “Come see it with your own two wheels.”
The remaining rides, all starting at 6 p.m., include:
• June 19, Sherman Oaks (meet at Fire Station 88, 5101 Sepulveda Blvd.).
• June 26, Fourth Street (meet at Shatto Park, 3191 Fourth St.).
• July 10, Toluca Lake (meet at LaBonge’s Valley Field Office, 10116
• And July 17, Hollywood (meet at LaBonge’s Hollywood Field Office, 6501
All riders must be at least 12 years old, wear helmets and sign waivers. Pets must be left at home.
