LOS ANGELES (CNS) – Van Halen will shut down Hollywood Boulevard

on Monday for a special concert that will air on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and will
mark the band’s first U.S. television performance with original lead singer
David Lee Roth, it was announced today.
The band, which was founded in Los Angeles in 1974, also announced a
summer/fall concert tour that will kick off July 5 in Seattle and conclude Oct.
2 at the Hollywood Bowl, with additional Southern California dates planned in
Irvine and San Bernardino in July.
The Hollywood Boulevard concert will be broadcast over two nights —
next Monday and Tuesday — on Kimmel’s late night talk show in conjunction with
the March 31 release of “Tokyo Dome Live in Concert,” billed as Van Halen’s
first-ever live album featuring Roth.
Recorded on June 21, 2013, in Tokyo, the CD includes 23 songs spanning
all seven of the band’s albums with Roth.
Tickets for the band’s tour will go on sale April 4 at
